Passive income, literally money while you sleep or ride sounds like the dream doesn’t it just.

I will be outlining some ideas for you to takeaway and implement today to get you started on passive income.
Firstly, what is passive income?
Well as the name suggests it is an income stream that doesn’t require as much of your time and energy. It’s passive. So the opposite of actively going and working on horses (or dogs).

Book (self published or traditional)
E-book
Journal
Online course
Low touch membership
Be an affiliate for someone else (getting paid to promote their products)
Influencer work (micro influencers are all the rage now)
Turning your idea into reality
A passive income stream is pretty simple. You have to create the ‘thing’, i.e. write the book, create the journal, produce the course, record the videos etc. Then you need to sell it.
There are two possible stumbling blocks that you also need to be aware of….
You will have mindset blocks about passive income
“If it seems too good to be true it probably is”, and “I have to work really hard for money / success” are the obvious ones. You can create the product but you need to have a mental re-adjust to make the sales.
You need to take old thoughts like …
“People won’t pay for that”
“It seems too easy”
“People probably already know that”
“Why would anyone buy from me”
And turn these around.
People pay for …
Ease and quick results
Their life being easier
Shortcuts
Information which is specific to them and their problems
For instance I have clients who sell guides and ebooks. Could I find the information by searching for 20 minutes on Pinterest or Google. Possibly.
Is it easier to have it in one place, ready to refer to, plus it is information I can trust. Which isn’t always the case online.
You also need the audience to sell something to, and be prepared to mention it A LOT.
Passive income only works when you tell people about the ‘thing’, and the more people you have within reach, and the more you talk about it the more sales you will see.
Again you will have negative thoughts about this
“I don’t want to be too salesy”
“I can’t mention it again”
“What will people think”
“What if people don’t like it”
Passive income can be a dream in your business. It is a handy extra income stream that produces whatever results you want. You simply have to make it work for you.
