If you are thinking about taking part in our online Horse First Aid Course you might have some questions – here are the answers to our most frequently asked questions
1. Will it be too basic?
No we cover a lot of detail from colic surgery to eye conditions, wound care and infectious disease control. You are learning from several vets, and the content was initially recorded live so you can benefit from other’s questions.
2. I’ve had horses for years – do I really need this?
One of the many things I’ve learnt from running horse first aid courses over the last 5 years is that knowledge and experience are not the same things. I personally have 20 years of equine experience, I’m a trained instructor, I have a MSc in Equine Science and I wrote the courses AND I still learn things each time I re-listen or watch the training. That’s how great our vets are!
3. Will I be out of my depth?
No we layer the information, and it gets more detailed as the course progresses. You can book in a catch up call with me if you have any questions as well.
4. I’m no good with tech…
Well don’t panic, the online learning platform we use is easy to use.
5. I don’t have a laptop ..
You can join from your phone or mobile device, and we have special ‘learn on the go’ resources as well.
