NKC Equestrian Training is built on one belief...
Better education leads to better outcomes for horses and more confident professionals.
Our 2026 CE/CPD training program centres around anatomy, biomechanics, pathologies and prevention. We have introduced Dissection on Demand Classes to accompany our in person dissection training sessions held at our training base in Surrey, South of England.
Here’s what to expect …
Head and Neck Dissection Training
Our Head & Neck Dissection On Demand course brings you inside one of the most complex and clinically significant regions of the horse, combining expert-led teaching with detailed dissection footage.
Guided by NKC’s veterinary expert Dr Kate Granshaw from Artemis Equine Vets, you’ll explore key anatomical structures including nerves, muscles, the hyoid apparatus, guttural pouches and the eye, gaining a clear understanding of “what goes where and why.” The course also dives into important clinical conditions such as TMJ disease, headshaking, ECVM and guttural pouch pathology, helping you connect anatomy to real-world cases.
Designed for equine professionals this course goes beyond theory—giving you the opportunity to truly visualise anatomy, recognise pathology, and better understand how to prevent common issues and support long-term horse health.
Lower Limb and Hoof Dissection training
Our Lower Limb Dissection On Demand course takes you step-by-step through the anatomy of the equine limb, helping you build a clear and practical understanding of how each structure contributes to movement and soundness.
Led by NKC’s veterinary expert Dr Kate Granshaw from Artemis Equine Vets, you’ll explore the limb and hoof layer by layer—covering bones, joints, tendons, ligaments and supporting soft tissues. The course focuses on helping you understand not just what’s there, but how it all works together, and why it matters in the real horse.
You’ll also look at key areas prone to injury and common pathologies affecting performance, giving you valuable insight into how and why problems develop.
Stifle and Hock Dissection Training 3rd October
Our Hock & Stifle Dissection Training (Online & In-Person) takes you inside two of the most complex and clinically important regions of the equine hindlimb, combining expert-led teaching with detailed dissection insight.
Guided by NKC’s veterinary expert Dr Kate Granshaw from Artemis Equine Vets, you’ll explore key anatomical structures of the stifle and hock, including ligaments, menisci, joints and supporting soft tissues, building a clear understanding of how these regions function and interact. The training also explores common clinical conditions such as suspensory issues, arthritis, OCD and soft tissue injury, helping you connect anatomy directly to real-world cases.
The in-person dissection day, from our training base in Surrey, offers a hands-on, immersive experience with direct access to anatomical specimens and live discussion, while the online option provides high-quality dissection footage and expert teaching that you can revisit at your own pace.
Designed for equine professionals, this training goes beyond theory—helping you truly visualise anatomy, recognise dysfunction, and develop a deeper understanding of how to prevent injury and support long-term performance and soundness.
