If you are thinking about attending our Healthy Horse Conference (21st and 22nd November, online and in Reading, UK) you might be wondering why I am running a Conference when I normally offer online courses, and business/mindset coaching. Well, there’s several reasons that I wanted to bring back my Conference, and I’ve outlined four of these below so you can understand a bit more about what happens behind the scenes.
1. Be a voice of change for the equine industry
The equine industry has had a bit of a rough time recently, with more scrutiny from mainstream press and the public. The question – ‘should we even ride horses’ crops up more and more, and with some negative press around the 2024 Olympics I want to be part of the mission to change the equestrian world for the better.
When we all pull together to help horses, that’s where the magic happens, and it starts with individuals having the latest information to make better decisions and sharing that knowledge.
And this is the aim of the Conference – to empower you as an equine professional and or horse owner to speak up, be the voice for the horses in your life, and get their needs met.
2. Bring more speakers together
This year the Conference is running over two days, meaning we can benefit from more speaker’s and their knowledge. I literally can’t wait to bring these amazing experts together.
3. An event for professionals and owners
I wanted to run a day of inspired learning that could benefit both equine practitioners or coaches, as well as owners. I love giving the latest research-based information to anyone who has a vested interest in horses, whether they run a livery yard, own an old, retired pony or offer therapies and support for horses. I want to make a better world for horses, and the more people who hear the correct factual information the better in my opinion.
4. Create an event that I wanted to attend
Perhaps this is a slightly selfish reason, but I often see Conferences that I would like to attend but they are either too far away, or not quite the right fit for me.
I have a very strong interest in veterinary CPD, but I’m not a vet, so some of the talks offered at a veterinary Conference wouldn’t be quite right for me. If you’re not a vet these days can be upwards of £500 plus as well. I don’t really want to attend an event of hundreds of people either, whilst I probably would ask a question I would find this slightly intimidating.
I would love to attend an event that was useful and friendly, and this is something we are great at creating. Having hosted so many online events like webinars, challenges and our past two conferences I know that we can create a great feel and supportive community online.
5. A hybrid event that suits all
The benefit of running the conference as a hybrid event is that it works for everyone. Some people want to connect in person (and we have delegates flying in to do so), and some people find it easier to join from their home without the need to book animal or childcare.
The best thing is with our 2025 Conference is that it doesn’t matter, you get to choose what works for you.
All the content will be recorded, and available for a further 6 months, so you can relive the conference experience, and watch back your favourite sections again and again.
I’m delighted that we are welcoming lots of familiar faces to the Conference, and I’m looking forward to meeting lots of new people as well.
If you haven’t secured your place this is the time to do so, before the price increases in a few weeks time. You can book your place here.
